Art meditation

with a neurographic approach

Art can be healing – through lines, shapes and colors one can express their inner feelings, relax and calm down. Some people have already explored this method intuitively, but there is also a scientific approach to art as therapy.

The technique called Neurographics was developed in 2014 by the psychologist Pavel Piskarev. It combines modern knowledge about how the brain works with art therapy. As people create new patterns of behavior, by creating new neural links, through this technique we can literally draw new paths and new ideas, release stress and intrusive thoughts, and design a better future for us, personally.

This method doesn’t need any complicated tools or drawing skills, everyone who can sign their name, can draw a neurographic line.

Neurographic sessions are a wonderful opportunity to have a break from the routine, switch into the creative state and relax. This method has proved to be very efficient for people working in stressful environments, as it reduces tension and gives relief from anxiety. People will have less conflicts and feel more relaxed and happier overall.

Have you ever tried meditation as a tool to get rid of stress and anxiety? Some people find it relaxing, but other people can say that it is so hard for them to sit still and do nothing. In art meditation you let your hand draw while letting your thoughts calm down. You connect with your subconscious with your body (through your hand drawing), your vision (observing your pictures) and your thoughts (letting your mind wander around).

With neurographic you can relax, releasing the tension or anger through spontaneous scribbling. You can draw your desirable future, connect with the ideas you want to connect and get rid of the ties you don’t need any more. One of the basic principles if this technique says: every problem can have a graphic solution. In other words, following the steps of the right algorithm you can come to the insight that will help you on your way. Most people stated that they already felt relaxed while rounding the corners or adding colors.

If you say to yourself sometimes:

“I am so nervous...”

“I can not let it go...”

“I am thinking about it again and again and can not stop...”

“I have a wish, but I don’t know how to start...”

“My project is not working the way I want to...”

“I am not happy with my relationship with this person...”

“I have disturbing thoughts and don’t know what to do about it...”

“Sometimes I cry because I feel hopeless...”

art meditation can be the right thing for you to start the healing process.
